Curtains
and drapes are used throughout a home in most every room.
They can be floral, striped, solid or in any design, color
or pattern. They are purchased in a variety of ways and
if you’re
resourceful, you can even make them yourself. Curtains and
drapes range in price from cheap to very expensive. So, you
have to know what fabrics you can and can’t afford.
How to hang curtains
How
to hang curtains depends on the height of the window
you are working with. It is not hard to hang them, but
you will want to have at least one extra set of hands
there with you to help you get it straight. It can
be hard to position the curtain pole in a straight line
if you are doing it all by yourself, but it is possible.
It is not recommended to try hanging
your window draperies for the first time alone. But, once you get better at
it, you can hang your window coverings by yourself each
time. You can also ask a professional to hang them for
you if you do not want to attempt doing it by yourself.
Drapery hanging by an expert will cost you a little more,
but you won’t
have to deal with the hassle of getting it up in
the first place.
Window treatment curtains
Window treatment curtains can be found on the internet,
in a department store or in a home improvement store. You
can find them in many styles or you can have them specially
made to your tastes. If you get them specially made, it
will cost you a lot more. You have to be willing to pay
the price if you want a certain kind of curtain or drapery.
If you want silk or another expensive fabric, be prepared
to pay a lot as well.
You
can always choose to use one very expensive fabric in
the room you deem to be the most important in your household.
Then, you can decorate with the less expensive fabrics
in other rooms to compensate for the money you spent.
Or, if you have the money, you can use any of the fabrics
you want to create a beautifully decorated home full
of curtains and drapes.
